The PBPSC team builds and maintains regulatory expertise and uses it influence safe and compliant product selection and development. Our team implements controls to protect our customers and the earth throughout the life of the product through audits, investigations, and program reviews.

This role focuses on safety and compliance policy and strategy. The candidate will have ownership and direct influence of policies and programs in the rapidly expanding Private Brands team. Key job responsibilities

• Provide safety and compliance support to the Hardline Private Brands EMEA business and Legal teams
• Build and maintain compliance policies for a variety product types and geographies
• Manage and resolve competing perspectives of stakeholders to drive conformity
• Support post-market incident management and investigations

About the team

The Private Brands Product Safety and Compliance team protects customers and Amazon brands through the development, and lifecycle management, of safe and compliant products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years' direct experience with hardline regulatory compliance within a manufacturer/retailer/agency environment including global requirements
• 4+ years' experience with hardline manufacturing, retail, or agency in process improvement, project/program management, regulatory compliance or similar function
• Experience creating sustainable and scalable processes
• Mastery of EU New Legislative Framework, Directives and Regulations, CE Marking and Notified Bodies
• Experience working in a multi-national company within an international team
• Experience using understanding of compliance and regulatory affairs to document and communicate product requirements across all levels of the organization
• Experience using knowledge of product development process and product lifecycle management
• Experience and understanding of laboratories and test reports

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years' experience managing Safety and Compliance in a large scale retail or manufacturing environment
• Experience with UK Regulations
• Direct experience engaging with regulatory authorities, associations, or standards bodies
• Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
• Knowledge of NA and/or APAC regulatory requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with electrical and electronic product safety and compliance
