Core to this vision is building and operating a portoflio of Market Intelligence products that will augment decision making for recruiters, recruiting leaders and hiring managers as well as become the central data team for external candidate data across all specialty recruiting organizations at Amazon

We are seeking a Tech Program Manager in our Market Intelligence team critical to driving the success of strategic projects that contribute to building scalable and durable products and solutions that impact the recruiter journey from prospect identification to search, recommendation, matching and reporting. In this role, you will need to manage cross-functional communication, identify and mitigate risks to efficient delivery, decompose ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions, prioritize competing opportunities, and drive understanding for engineering teams as well as the executive layer. The ideal candidate will possess a fearless ability to dive deep, push for timely results, and build consensus across teams.

As a data analytics team our solutions are currently focused on providing our customers capability to generate insights and enable efficient decision-making. However, to achieve our strategic goal of becoming central science and data engineering team for building consumable and scalable products we need to build staged mechanisms at rapid pace to scale from data ingestion and consumption to data dispensation, building internal software products that drive user interaction with recruiters. We envision our solutions be powered by science and machine-learning models based on prospect/employee data, recruiting funnel attributes/data points, outputs of various simulations, trigger and market indicators, and deliver reliable recommendations/actions to L7+recruiting leaders, program heads, planning teams and other users.

To accomplish this, you will be an expert in working backwards from the customer, can think strategically, act tactically and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. You will be a self-starter comfortable with leading a deep, focused data science/engineering team responsible for leading complex, long-running projects involving many teams. , liaising with tech leaders in the Recruiting Engine org to identify the right blend of build vs bridge vs partner strategies.

You will be working with a strong team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers and Analysts along with an ambitious 3Y tech roadmap targeted at making breakthrough changes in how we recruit specialized talent.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will:

(1) Operate as a Agile Coach making sure that team members are well trained in following Agile processes.

(2) Conduct daily standup meetings

(3) Represent customers constantly and drive predictive and action-oriented tools.

(4) Work with the product owner for creating and managing the product backlog.

(5) Help the team stay focused on the tasks that need to be done during each iteration. You will proactively look for distractions and roadblocks that can impede progress.

(6) Build a personalized experience for our customers

(7) Lead Product Launch - Own the go-to-market plan to deliver results that ensure the customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans.

(8) Lead Operations - Including monitoring and response to customer feedback, continuous improvement and business growth

(9) Lead interaction with Technical Team - Including helping the technical team make trade-offs based on customer requirements, QA/testing of the product.

A day in the life

Your customers are L7+Recruiting Leaders, Program heads and Hiring Managers. Your stakeholders are Recruiting Engine tech teams. Working backwards from our 3YP, by 2026, we will realize a new approach to talent acquisition. Instead of relying on reqs as the sole demand indicator, we will work with the business to discover and anticipate long-term talent gaps by inspecting business product and technology roadmaps. You will help build solutions where our customers will have an integrated view of the prospect pool, expanding beyond individuals to include universities, startups, companies with technologies to license, intact competitor teams, and internal candidates.

About the team

The Market Intelligence Team (MI) was originally formed to focus on delivering long-term strategic initiatives and to support our recruiters with hiring opportunistic prospects. The team has since evolved to discovering, routing, and engaging the best senior-level talent for Amazon. We leverage a research and data-driven approach to assist specialty recruiters and hiring mangers discover talent faster without compromising on quality. We develop large-scale pipelines of segmented prospects to fill the top of the recruiting funnel, provide an organized approach to CRM knowledge management, and engage early-lifecycle candidates. We also create self-service tools that aim to enhance recruiter productivity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems or MBA

• Experience with data visualization tools

• Familiarity with Amazon's cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3 and Redshift

• Experience in leading technical discussions and assisting teams in designing solutions

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to work cross functionally
