Are you an experienced insider threat professional who is about passionate about customer success? Amazon is seeking a Customer Success Manager to join our Internal Threat Reduction (ITR) team, which is the team responsible for developing and executing the insider threat program for Amazon. The team's mission is to reduce the risk insiders can pose to Amazon, and the primary responsibility of this role will be to build and lead a new customer risk assessment team within ITR. The focus of this new team is providing and tailoring insider threat services to internal customers.

The role provides the opportunity to build a team, develop a road-map, and guide road-map execution to ultimately reduce the risk of internal threats to Amazon. As the manager of this team, this individual will be responsible for leading the risk assessment and remediation team, directly managing the members of the team, achieving its operational objectives, and measuring its success.

The successful candidate has experience building and leading teams to assess insider risk within dynamic organizations that span the globe. They will be able to clearly define the roles and responsibilities for the members of their team. They are an exceptionally well-organized self-starter who embodies Amazon's leadership principles, with an emphasis on Customer Obsession, Diving Deep, and Delivering Results. Key job responsibilities
* Building and leading a team of insider threat specialists, security engineers, and risk managers
* Developing a methodology for assessing insider threat risk within business lines, and devising risk reduction strategies & action plans to address gaps
* Hiring and developing a cross-functional team of insider threat specialists and information security engineers; provide technical and soft skill coaching to maintain a motivated, innovative, and effective team
* Developing and managing a customer success road-map for each internal engagement, and driving accountability for the completion of road-map objectives
* Partnering with relevant teams across information security, legal, HR, and others necessary
* Communicating effectively with varying audiences at multiple levels of sensitivity, often including legal, human resources, business leaders, and partner information technology and information security teams
* Evaluating the impact of current security trends, advisories, publications, and academic research to Amazon
* Developing trends and insights based upon data to drive continual improvements

...partnering with legal, HR, and technology teams to devise recommendations for closing gaps
...guiding your team to develop action plans for implementing or facilitating the implementation of action plans
...measuring and reporting the success of your team's efforts

Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years of demonstrated experience building, leading, and managing exceptionally talented security teams
* 2+ years of demonstrated experience in areas such as customer success, customer success management, or related fields
* 1+ years of demonstrated experience in areas such as internal threat (aka insider threat), internal investigations, or related fields
* Degree in related field with a strong technical background (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
* Experience in cyber risk, enterprise risk, conducting risk assessments, or related competencies
* Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy in a global environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate security and business risk to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant industry certifications or which demonstrate intimate familiarity with the insider threat discipline (e.g. CERT, CCITP, NITTF)
* Previous experience leading insider threat assessment teams
* Project management backgrounds preferred
* Experience building key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and other measures of success
