Description:
Amazon is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric Senior Account Manager. The key mission of the position is to manage partnerships and identify follow on opportunities with the leading companies to accelerate the growth of Amazon. The main business area that you focus on will be assigned based on openings and your experience and interest.

This position will be responsible for executing and managing complex and high-impact partnership deals spanning Amazon business units in e-commerce and digital fields. This position will leverage your strong understanding of e-commerce, marketing, and high-tech industries to maintain and grow innovative partnerships. This position will also be responsible for increasing our customers' engagement across multiple product and service areas.

This role will be highly visible at senior levels of Amazon both in Japan and the US. You will work closely with partner companies to execute strategies that expand partners' business, maintain the partnership, and identify additional opportunities to achieve mutual goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execution of complex deals spanning Amazon business units
• Manage senior-level relations with Amazon's partner companies
• Define performance measures and manage deals to hit targets
• Lead cross-functional teams to manage initiatives associated with the partner companies
• Coordinate with other Amazon business development teams to present a unified vision to our partners
• Act as a forward-looking thought leader in developing strategies to advance Amazon's presence in Japan
• Identify additional opportunities within existing partnerships at leading companies in Japan
• Understand the business plans and priorities of various Amazon business units such as Prime, Retail categories, Video, Kindle, Music, and Echo/Alexa and be able to articulate Amazon's vision, services, and value propositions to customers and partners

Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree is required
• Fluency in English or Japanese and verbal and written communication skills in both
• Passion for big challenges
• 5+ years of work experience in business development and account management
• Demonstrated ability to manage partnerships with large Japanese companies, including engaging with C-level executives
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
• Strong bias for action: Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills: ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts and new ideas, and evaluate tradeoffs, with technology teams
• High level of independence, flexibility, and ability to handle ambiguity
• Attention to details and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA
• Experience in driving marketing deals with large corporations
• Experience working in a global matrix organization
• Experience in or professional knowledge of at least one of the following industries or functions: mobile, high-tech, internet, digital advertising, payments, search engine marketing
