Description:
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising, offering a rich array of digital display advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. Our team is part of the Global Advertising Partner Development organization and we help advertisers reach Amazon customers on Amazon.com, across our other owned and operated sites, on other high quality sites across the web, and on millions of Kindles, tablets, and mobile devices. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do. If you're interested in joining a rapidly growing team working to build a unique, world-class advertising group with a relentless focus on the customer, you've come to the right place.
Our global platform provides self-service low-latency systems at massive scale for Amazon Advertising across Performance Advertising (Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Display), and is growing to include other products such as Amazon DSP and Amazon Attribution. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth, and as such our organization's initiatives are highly visible to Amazon's executive leadership.

We are looking for a Programmer Writer to document Amazon's public Advertising API. The services that make up the Amazon Advertising API are instrumental to enabling advertisers and their partners to easily create, manage, and optimize advertising campaigns through programmatic and file-based interfaces. And even the most user-friendly API requires organized, well-written, and complete documentation to enable our customers to be successful.

Ideally, you have a strong technical background and demonstrated experience creating high-quality code samples and technical documentation. Your content will be critical for a diverse audience consisting of application developers, data scientists, and end users. Experience with RESTful APIs and big data is a bonus, and it's even better if you have experience with Linux and tools such as Git. We don't expect you to be an expert in every area, but we hope you have passion for learning about these technologies and teaching our customers how to use them.

You'll work with our internal teams to create documentation, code samples, and other types of content for both Amazon Advertising's customers and internal teams. You'll gather feedback and develop ways to make your content more discoverable and enable our customers to be as effective and efficient as possible. You'll help develop content strategy and set priorities. You'll have a direct impact on customers, working closely with external integrators who build their applications using the Advertising API.

We are growing quickly and there is an endless range of new opportunities for you if you are excited to experiment, learn, and innovate.
